Founded in 2021 by the merger of two longstanding equine clinics, KR Equine Clinic is a first and second opinion equine veterinary clinic providing veterinary services for horses, ponies and donkeys across Northern Ireland.
KR Equine provides extensive ambulatory veterinary services across County Down and Antrim, complemented by clinical facilities and diagnostic imaging at the clinic based in Co.Down.

David qualified as a vet from UCD in Dublin in 2011, and has worked in horses in the UK and Ireland ever since.
Christopher R. Akkari

Chris graduated from The University of Nottingham in 2013. Following graduation he completed an equine internship at Oakham Equine Hospital.
Kara Johnston
BVSc Cert AVP MRCVS
Kara graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2015. She completed her Advanced Veterinary Practitioner certificate in 2021, with a reproductive and stud medicine bias.
